Jeep has announced the updates to the 2023 Compass and the big news is a new 200-horsepower turbocharged 2.0-liter engine that’s standard across the lineup.
The new four-cylinder also has 221 pound-feet of torque and is mated to a new eight-speed automatic transmission. The 2023 Jeep Compass also comes standard with the Jeep Active Drive 4×4 system. For buyers that want even more capability there’s the Active Drive Low 4×4 system with its 20:1 crawl ratio and low range.
On the safety front, the 2023 Compass gets additional safety features, like drowsy driver detection, rear seat reminder alert and a security alarm. Automatic high beams have been added to Latitude models and above. Lastly there are new 17-inch wheels on Sport and Latitude models, and there are more exterior colors for the special-edition Compass (RED) model.
The 2023 Jeep Compass is available in Sport, Latitude, Latitude LUX, Limited and Trailhawk trim levels. It will arrive in the first quarter 2023.
