Audi has revealed its last “sphere” concept, the Activesphere and this one looks to combine attributes from its sleek Sportback and high-riding Allroad models with a bit of pickup truck DNA thrown in for fun.

In its standard form, the Activesphere concept looks like a coupe-like crossover, but if you slide the top up to and flip the rear down, you get a useful cargo space that’s similar to a truck. With the push of a button the roof moves and the rear flips down, while a a divider rises up behind the rear seats to keep passengers away from any dirt or crappy weather.

On the outside the Activesphere is about the same size as the Audi A7 and its air suspension can raise or lower the ground clearance between 8.2 and 9.8 inches. Inside there’s a minimalistic design and in autonomous mode the steering wheel and dashboard retract. Augmented reality is a huge highlight here. With the use of special glasses information can be displayed to the driver and front passenger.

Under the skin the Activesphere concept is based on the Premium Platform Electric (PPE) platform, which was co-developed by Audi and Porsche. Thanks to its 100 kWh battery, it has a driving range up to 373 miles. The 800-volt architecture enables charging speeds up to 270 kW. The two electric motors generate a combined 436 horsepower and 531 pound-feet of torque.

Mazda continues to tease its new flagship SUV, the 2024 CX-90, which is going to officially debut in a few days on January 31. We’ve seen teasers of its exterior, but now Mazda has teased what we can expect on the inside.

The latest video is hosted by actor Hiroyuki Sanada and provides a view of some of the CX-90’s cabin. We can also see that Mazda’s current infotainment system that’s controlled via the rotary dial, will also be offered on the CX-90. We can also see a traditional gear lever. Overall as we now expect from Mazda, the CX-90’s interior is a luxurious place to be in.

Mazda has already confirmed that the CX-90 will be offered with a plug-in hybrid version and a version that’s powered by a 340 hp 3.3-liter inline-6 engine.

Volvo unveiled its new electric flagship electric SUV, the EX90 last November and at the event it also teased a new entry-level EV that’s slated to debut in 2023. Volvo has now confirmed when we’ll get to see the EX30 debut, since he confirmed the June 15 date to Australia’s CarSales.

In an interview, Volvo CEO Jim Rowan confirmed that the EX30 will have “decent range” and that it will be smaller than the XC40. The XC30 is expected to be based on Geely’s Sustainable Experience Architecture and will be closely related to the Polestar 4 crossover.

The EX30 will be built in China. It will also be available via a subscription plan that can be as short as three months, which should help it appeal to a younger audience. “The age demographic that we have at Volvo is a lot older than we would like; we’d like to get some more younger people into the brand,” Rowan stated to the publication. He also expects that the EX30 will appeal to older buyers that want to downsize their vehicle.

This year Porsche is celebrating its 75th anniversary. The first Porsche, the 356, arrived on June 8, 1948 and now Porsche is paying tribute to that iconic model with the Vision 357 concept.

Porsche Vision 357 concept

As a tribute to the 356, the Vision 357 concept features a similar form as its forebear. You’ll also notice that there aren’t traditional mirrors, since cameras let you know what’s behind you and the door handles are tucked in the rear side glass.

We created a very special birthday present in the form of the Porsche Vision 357, one which uses the 356 as a basis to underscore the significance of our design DNA,” said Michael Mauer, Vice President Style Porsche. “The concept car is an attempt to combine the past, present and future with coherency, featuring proportions that are reminiscent of its historical archetype and details that visualize the outlook for the future.”

The concept is based on the same technology platform as the 718 Cayman GT4 RS with its naturally aspirated 4.0-liter flat-six that generates 493 hp.

The concept will be the highlight of the special exhibition “75 Years of Porsche sports cars” at the Volkswagen Group’s Drive Forum in Berlin, which opens to the public on January 27. It will be displayed until mid-February.

Mazda is currently working on electrifying its lineup, which started with the MX-30 electric crossover and next up is the CX-90 plug-in hybrid. Mazda is also working on a new electric platform that will arrive in 2025, but what does the future hold for the MX-5 Miata?

In an interview with Autocar, Mazda’s CEO in Europe, Martijn ten Brink revealed that Mazda has no plans to discontinue the MX-5, even as it switches to an electrified lineup. When asked what Mazda has planned for the next-generation MX-5 he stated, “That’s not been decided. But I think for Mazda it would be fair to say that the MX-5 will never die.”

“I think it will continue to exist forever and it will have to go with the times. That’s a super challenge, and people are passionate about this car in Mazda.”

Mazda has already confirmed that all of its vehicles will be electrified by 2030, but what we don’t know is if the next MX-5 will be a hybrid or fully electric vehicle.

A car transport company is a business that specializes in transporting vehicles from one location to another. These companies offer a range of services, including shipping cars to different countries, moving cars between states or cities, and transporting cars for dealerships, auction, or private individuals.

Vehicle transporting companies typically use a variety of methods to transport vehicles, including open and enclosed trailers, flatbed trucks, and sometimes even ships for international transport. They may also offer different levels of service, such as door-to-door delivery, terminal-to-terminal delivery, or expedited shipping.

If you’re looking for a car transport company, it’s important to do your research and choose a reputable company that has a track record of delivering vehicles safely and on time. You can start by checking online reviews, getting recommendations from friends or family, and asking for quotes from multiple companies to compare prices and services.

How to find the right one?

Finding the right car transport company can be a bit overwhelming, but there are a few key factors to consider when making your decision:

  • Research: Start by doing some research online to find car transport companies that operate in your area or service the locations you need. Look for companies with good reviews and ratings from previous customers. You can also bbb.org and find out if there are complaints against the service provider.
  • Services: Find out if the services offered by the shipping company matches your needs, such as enclosed or open transport, terminal-to-terminal or door-to-door delivery, and expedited shipping. Ask the company about their policies for pickup and delivery, and their estimated transit time.
  • Pricing: Get quotes from several companies and compare prices and services. Look for a company that offers a fair price for the level of service provided. Be wary of companies that offer prices that are significantly lower than their competitors, as this may indicate subpar service or hidden fees.
  • Insurance: Make sure the company has appropriate insurance coverage to protect your vehicle during transport. Ask about their insurance policy and what it covers, and make sure they provide a written contract that outlines their insurance coverage.
  • Licensing: Verify that the company has the necessary licenses and permits to operate legally in your state and the states they will be transporting your vehicle through. Check with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) to see if the company is registered and has a valid USDOT number.
  • Communication: Look for a company that is responsive and communicative. Make sure they are easy to reach and willing to answer your questions before and during the transport process. A good company will provide you with a point of contact who can update you on the progress of your shipment and address any concerns you may have.
  • Contract: Once you’ve selected a car transport company, make sure you read the contract carefully and understand the terms and conditions. Make sure the contract includes all the services you’ve agreed to and the price you’ve been quoted.

The EPA has finished its testing of the 2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 electric sedan and the good news is that the latest Hyundai EV has a driving range up to 361 miles on a single charge.

Not all versions have that range, since only the single motor Ioniq 6 SE Long Range RWD trim has the 361 mile rating, while the Ioniq 6 SE AWD has an EPA-estimated range of 316 miles and the Ioniq 6 Limited AWD has a range of 270 miles.

The EPA has also confirmed a 140 combined MPGe rating for the IONIQ 6 SE RWD Long Range, which matches the MPGe rating of two Lucid Air models, putting the Ioniq 6 at the top of the EPA’s Top Ten vehicles list.

2023 Hyundai Ioniq 6 EPA

Part of the reason why the Ioniq 6 has a longer driving range than most EVs, is because Hyundai not only focused on battery size, but also efficiency. The Ioniq 6 has a very low drag coefficient of 0.22 thanks to its low nose, active air flaps, wheel gap reducers, elliptical wing-inspired spoiler with winglet, slight boattail structure, separation traps on both sides of the rear bumper, full underbody cover, deflectors and reduced wheel-arch gaps.

Hyundai has not announced the pricing for the 2023 Ioniq 6, but it will arrive this spring.
